This kitchen renovation won First Place in the Central Virginia NARI CotY Awards in 2016.

This gorgeous home is in Glen Allen, VA on the Chickahominy River. The original look was very traditional with excessive molding and columns separating the kitchen from the den. The homeowner wanted to achieve a relaxed, farmhouse feel with plenty of space to entertain family and friends.

We removed the columns separating the kitchen from the den and brought in a lot of texture and rustic details. We removed the large pantry and powder room so we could expand the kitchen and open the space. In doing so, we created better views of the pool and river from inside the home. The custom-made, windmill fan with copper detail ties the kitchen and family room together with its rustic style.
